Cold Tubs

If you’re going to make cold plunging a regular practice it makes sense to invest in a good quality tub. For years I used an chest freezer. It worked ok but I had to change the water frequently (a big pain) and it was hard to regulate the temperature. By investing in a high quality cold tub you will be able to keep the temperature where you want it, filter out impurities, etc. It’s a great investment in your health! The following are tubs I recommend:

This is a very popular cold tub. It looks aesthetically pleasing and upscale and is a great tub for the price. I recommend this one if you know you’ll never be moving the tub and want an elegant look. Please use this link to order.

Plunge

This tub is an amazing choice for many reasons. You can regulate the temperature, it has a filtration system to keep it clean, and has a big motor (1 horsepower vs ¼ or ½ HP of the others). This means you can get the temp down to 37 degrees within about 2 ½ hours. It also doubles as a hot tub (you can get the temperature up to 105 within 2 ½ hours as well). It’s the only portable tub out of the 3 recommended here (it’s made of a hard material (similar to paddle boards) and you actually pump it up use it. You can deflate it and go mobile (carrying case strapped across your back) if you want to take with you to another location. Takes about 15 mins to take down and 15 to inflate and hook up. EdgeTheory Labs Tub

THis tub is the higher end of the tubs. It’s the only one that actually makes it’s own ice. It’s bigger (and more expensive) than the other tubs and an amazing tub to use. Please use this link to order
